ABOUT
A retired faculty member in the Department of English, Patna University and has taught at the undergraduate and post-graduate level for more than forty years.

She has facilitated and lectured at seminars and workshops in English language and literature, communications and in the theatre as a resource person for the British Council, American Centre, the UGC and cultural institutions.

She is a trustee and consultant to a number of educational and social organizations and a referee for educational fellowships. In 1999, she was nominated the Woman of the Year by the Cambridge Biographical Institute for her contributions to education and to society.

The Anglo- Indian Association, Danapur branch conferred upon her the Excellence in Achievement Award in 2008 in recognition for her contribution to the theatre and very recently the Frank Anthony award.

Dr. Sami has authored, edited and contributed to a number of books that include Postmodern Gandhi in life and Literature, A Slice of Life, Erasing Barricades,Gandhi and his Soulforce Mission,Indian, The Indian English Novel Today, Women through the Ages, and A Collection of Indian English Poetry.
